Did you know that you can easily look up a case using the party names? Fastcase’s Keyword Search is the perfect tool for this type of search.

Example: Curtis Publish. Co. v. Butts, 388 U.S. 130 (1967).

1. Navigate to Advanced Case Law Search by choosing Search Cases from the Search menu.

2. Choose one unique word (e.g. avoid words like “Inc.” and “Corp.”) from each party name and construct a within search as follows:

Curtis w/15 Butts

3. If you know which jurisdiction issued the decision you are looking for, narrow your search accordingly and then press search.

4. The case you are looking for will almost certainly show up in your top 10 search results. In this example, the case we selected is the second case on the list.
