Fastcase to Showcase “Mercury” Platform and New Initiatives at American Association of Law Libraries Annual Meeting

Legal Research Innovator to Showcase New Fastcase 7 Release, Integrations, Legal Forms, and New Treatise Libraries

Washington, DC (June 28, 2018) – Fastcase, known for pioneering the smartest legal research tools in the market, today shares its latest additions, integrations, and updates the company will be showcasing at the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) annual meeting July 14-17 in Baltimore, Maryland.

Fastcase is debuting major upcoming changes to its online legal research platform. Attendees of the AALL annual meeting will be treated to a sneak preview of Fastcase 7.3, known internally as the “Mercury” update. Mercury represents a major overhaul of the Fastcase user interface, and is the first in a series of planned updates slated for release this year. The goal of the project is to touch every aspect of the Fastcase user experience, putting together all of the lessons learned from the Fastcase 7 Beta.

The Mercury update will include a variety of changes and improvements to the user interface, with a particular focus on the Advanced Search and Document View features. Other improvements include a streamlined print queue interface and an easier to use History and Favorites system to help users pick up where they left off. 7.3 will also allow users to save their search presets, such as document type and jurisdiction, and default to those favorites to make repeated searches faster and easier.

“There is so much momentum with our team right now,” said Ed Walters, Fastcase CEO. “The new Mercury release is going to blow people’s minds. The team has some great new announcements for Docket Alarm and AI Sandbox. And we’re launching a ton of secondary treatises, forms, and Full Court Press Titles. It’s a great way to prepare to celebrate Fastcase’s 20th anniversary next year.”
