Mississippi Lawyers Gain Free Access to Fastcase

 

Washington, DC (May 17, 2018) – The Mississippi Bar and Fastcase today announced a partnership to provide free access to Fastcase’s nationwide legal research system for all active bar members.

 

Beginning June 1, more than 9,000 attorneys, judges, law students and other legal practitioners who are members of The Mississippi Bar will receive access to one of the largest law libraries in the world. The bar association has decided to expand its offerings and enrich member benefits by providing active members with free access to Fastcase’s legal research tools and online legal libraries.

 

“This new partnership allows us to support our members by providing free access to tools that will benefit them in their practice of law,” said Deanne Mosley, Executive Director of The Mississippi Bar. “We’re proud to partner with Fastcase to provide access to such innovative research tools and online law libraries.”

 

Bar members will receive access to the nation’s smartest legal research tools for free – a service that would otherwise cost lawyers and law firms thousands of dollars each year. Bar members will not pay additional fees or surcharges when conducting legal research because Fastcase’s legal research library is not restricted by time or number of transactions. The service also includes unlimited printing, training webinars and tutorials, industry-leading mobile apps, and live customer support from reference attorneys on the Fastcase team.

 

Bar members will receive access to Fastcase’s extensive legal library of caselaw from all state and federal courts, statutes and regulations from all 50 states and the federal government. In addition to unlimited access to Fastcase’s nationwide legal research database, members get access to Fastcase’s libraries of statutes, regulations and much more. The member benefit also includes annotated statutes from other states, Fastcase’s annotated U.S. Code, transactional access to newspaper articles, federal court filings, and legal forms, a one-stop PACER search of federal filings, and transactional access through HeinOnline to the largest collection of law reviews in the world.

 

Legal researchers will have access in the same application to Fastcase’s additional subscription products, including the published materials of Full Court Press, data analytics and docket updates with Docket Alarm, access to secondary law materials through Fastcase’s partnerships with HeinOnline for access to HeinOnline Law Reviews on Fastcase. Members can also subscribe to 130 Wolters Kluwer treatises now available on Fastcase.

 

The Mississippi Bar benefit is a comprehensive nationwide law library available online anytime, anywhere. Members will be able to access Fastcase through the bar website at www.msbar.org where they can log in with their bar username and password.

 

Thirty state bar associations and dozens of metro, county, and specialty bar associations offer Fastcase’s smarter legal research tools as a free benefit to members.
