The Future of Law for Corporate Counsel and Law Firm Leaders To Be Explored at 2017 Focus Conference
Focus: InsideOut Event Presented In Partnership By The D.C. Bar and Fastcase
WASHINGTON, DC (August 1, 2017) – The D.C. Bar and Fastcase today announced the theme of the inaugural Focus Conference, Focus: InsideOut. A one-day invitation-only event for leaders in law firms and corporate counsel offices, Focus: InsideOut will be held at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. in Spring 2018.
The inaugural conference will include forums, panels, and discussion opportunities for in-house and outside counsel of Fortune 500 companies and the nation’s largest law firms.
Presented by FC/DC Legal Frontiers, the purpose of Focus Conferences is to examine cutting-edge issues and developments impacting top law firms and counsel offices, to help shape the industry’s response to these developments. Each year Focus will cover a range of topics related to the evolving legal profession, as well as highlighting an issue of particular currency for discussion that year.
The highlighted topic of the 2018 conference is the shifting relationship between in-house and outside counsel. This includes examining legal-adjacent service providers such as accounting and consulting firms, and discussing options for how outside counsel can retain more matters or explore new partnership opportunities.
Registrations are by invitation only.
Admission for attendees and speakers at the 2018 Focus Conference is limited.
